 EROSION

Revealing the intrinsic beauty of the processes of loss and decay.

EROSION series invites a dialogue of manipulated, altered materials. Breaking  the surface to experience the  entrails of the photographic medium.

Like humans and living beings, photography is subjective, vulnerable, moving and alive. The portraits in the series are produced in a large format camera, the negatives then developed and chemically altered according to their own recipe. The process is  open-ended and improvised while the photographic matter reacts.

The artist is looking for the contrast between the image and its materiality, creating tensions in the appearance of each image as other facets of it disappear.
